汉英人体词“头”的隐喻对比研究

Contrastive study of metaphor of body word "head" in Chinese and English

在Lakoff和Johnson的隐喻理论指导下,对汉语及英语中的人体词"头"进行了对比研究。研究表明,基于相同或是相似的生活经验,"头"在汉语、英语中有许多共同的语义范畴,但由于各自的历史、文化等诸多差异,人体隐喻概念在英汉两种语言中也会出现不对应的情况。通过身体部位器官隐喻分析可以更加了解英汉两种语言的思维内涵,据此进一步发掘语言、词汇与文化各个层面上的研究价值。

This article, under the framework of cognitive linguistics and by applying Lakoff and Johnsong metaphor theory,is undertaken to make a comparison of ＂head＂ between English and Chinese and study the similarities as well as difference. The research discovers that English and Chinese metaphorical use of ＂ head＂ is more similar than different. This reflects the universal cognitive principle to some degree and confirms Lakoff and Johnsong theory. Meanwhile,there still exist certain differences because of different culture, his- torical background and geographical environment. Through the study of body metaphors, we can furthermore understand the thinking connotation of Chinese and English, and find the true value of learning language, literature and culture.
