摘要
英语被动句实际上就是根据说话者意图将施事和受事位置进行互换,也就是将图形和背景位置进行互换,以达到焦点信息更加突显的一种句式。在大学英语教学中运用图形-背景理论(Figure/Ground Theory)对被动句进行分析,不仅能使学生更清楚地认识到被动句的本质特征,还能使学生在学习过程中提高自身的语言认知能力。
The structure of English passive sentences is the exchange of positions of agents and patients according to the speaker's pur- pose. It is actually the exchange of positions of figure and ground. The focus information can appear more prominent in this way. Using figure/ground theory in college English teaching to analyze passive sentences can not only make students know the nature and character- istics of these sentences more clearly, but also make students cognitive ability of language improved gradually in this studying process.
