A Study of the Wenzhounese in Japan——The Life History of the Tang Family

本文聚焦于在日温州人移民集团的历史和现状。由于早期赴日谋生的温州人多为劳工,所以本文首先采用文献实证史学的方法,通过探寻当时在日中国人劳工的一般状况,阐明了从第一次世界大战后期开始的温州人劳工大量移民日本的这段史实。其次本文采用社会学的访谈手法,通过对一个在日温州人家族的移民方式、定居过程、生活现状等等的分析,展现了在日温州人社会的历史变迁。

This thesis focuses on the history and current situation of Wenzhou migrants in Japan. According to the fact that most Wenzhounese who immigrated to Japan in the early years did so as laborers, this thesis tries to draw a picture of their lives at that time through the method of an empirical history of literature, and thus expounds the reality that a migration boom of the Wenzhounese laborers to Japan began during the later period of World War I. In addition, this article analyses the migration route, the process of settling and the life situation of the Tang family through interviews, which demonstrates the changing of the Wenzhounese community in Japan.
