Effects of Al-Ce-Sb-Ti Master Alloy on Refining Efficiency of ZA105 Magnesium Alloy

摘要 采用真空熔炼方法,制备了一种用于Mg-Zn-Al系合金晶粒细化的Al-Ce-Sb-Ti中间合金。结果表明,加入适量中间合金的Mg-10Zn-5Al(ZA105)镁合金含有大量硬质颗粒质点,这些硬质颗粒聚集在固液界面前沿,阻止镁合金中第二相的长大,显著改善合金的显微组织,同时还可作为镁合金的形核质点,细化合金的晶粒,使其晶粒度等级由4级变到6级。 The A1-Ce-Sb-Ti master alloy was prepared by vacuum melting to refine the grains of Mg-Zn- AI alloys. The results show that Mg-IOZn-SAI(ZAI05) magnesium alloy with appropriate addition of Al-Ce-Sb-Ti master alloy contains lots of hard particles which gather in the front of solid-liquid interface, preventing the growth of the second phase and improving the microstructure of ZA105 magnesium alloy. At the same time, the hard particles are taken as nucleation sites of ZA105 magnesium alloy to refine its grain size. With proper addition of master alloy, the grain size grade of ZA105 magnesium alloy is improved from 4 level to 6 level.
