现代信息技术的迅猛发展与广泛应用,对于远程开放教育教师如何更好地满足社会成员多样化、个性化的学习需求,提出了新的任务和挑战。远程开放教育教师角色的定位,如何发挥远程教育教师的作用,成为远程开放教育内涵建设面临的一个重要课题。通过对现代远程开放教育教师在教学过程中的角色和职业素养进行研究,结合目前教学过程中出现的问题,提出一些建议,以保障远程开放教育教师的发展,从而推动远程开放教育的发展。

With the development of modem information technology, open distance education made remarkable achievements in many areas. This paper discusses modem and open distance education teachers by reviewing the role and professionalism of modem and open distance education teachers. Based on the research, it gives some advices on the policies of modem and open distance education teachers.
