语类结构潜势理论的局限性分析——以公司简介为例

Analysis of the Limitations of Generic Structure Potential Theory by Taking Company Profile as Example

系统功能语言学家Hasan提出的语类结构潜势理论,虽然可以帮助人们建立语类意识,培养人们语类语篇的敏感性,但从语类的界定、语类决定因素、语类与文化的关系三方面考虑,GSP理论存在一定的局限性。以公司简介语类为例,GSP理论存在下列局限性:未将体现语类特点的非语言特征纳入描述范畴;仅以语境配置(CC)中的"语场"作为区分语类的唯一标准,而未意识到CC三要素在语类结构确定中共同发挥的作用;未将语类的描述与文化背景相联系。

Generic Structure Potential （GSP） Theory, proposed by systemic functional linguist Hasan, can help people build their sense of genre and cultivate their sensitiveness to generic discourses, but has some limitations in terms of the definition of genre, the decisive factors for genre and the relationship between genre and culture. Taking the genre of com- pany profile as example, this article concludes that GSP Theory has the following limitations ： （ 1 ） it excludes the non - lan- guage features, which can well display the characteristics of genre, from its category; （2） it only adopts ＂field＂ as the dis- tinctive criteria for genre, without realizing the combined action of all the three elements of CC in determining the structure of genre; （3） it neglects the relationship between genre and culture.
