人口老龄化已成为我国社会经济发展必须认真应对的重大课题。建设老年产业服务基地对满足老年人群日益增长的物质文化需求,扩大消费和促进就业,推进老龄事业发展具有重要意义。养老产业服务基地应以养老机构建设为核心、以专业人才培养、老年服务产业项目研发、配套设施建设为支撑,走联合共建、产学研合作之路,打造集教学、科研、培训、服务于一体的综合性老年产业服务基地。为建设和谐社会作出贡献。
