Equipment maintenance and support management teaching information system （EMSMTIS） is a kind of information system based on teaching, training, and drilling functions. With a view to equipment maintenance and support management department and skeleton maintenance in- stitution of whole army, EMSMTIS aims to solve issues of equipment maintenance and support man- agement task of army. The paper introduces the status of EMSMTIS at home and abroad, and analy- zes the whole demands of EMSMTIS and expatiates detailed functional demand of three subsystem. That will establish important foundation of EMSMTIS.
