中介语石化理论质疑

A Query on Interlanguage Fossilization

石化现象自从提出以来,就受到中介语研究领域的广泛认同,但其是否存在也颇受争议。现有石化研究的主要问题如下:石化术语方面,定义不统一,概念不清楚;从中介语产生的心理机制来看,它始终处于动态变化过程之中,不可能"石化";现有关于石化的研究方法不够科学严谨,缺乏实证研究;中介语石化原因的研究不具说服力。中介语石化理论作为一种假设,仍需进一步完善。

Ever since the theory of Fossilization was postulated by Selinker, while widely accepted in the field of interlanguage studies, it has also incurred a lot of doubts. The main problems of the previous stud- ies on this issue are as follows： the term ＂Fossilization＂ is conceptually inconsistent and vague; interlan-guage is constantly changing and can never fossilize when examined from its cognitive mechanism; the ex-isting methodologies of Fossilization studies are unscientific and lacking empirical supports and thus un-convincing. It is hence concluded that Fossilization, as an assumption, needs further perfecting.
