Research on Huan Zhuang Song Dynasty Brick Pagoda

郇庄砖塔,又称郇庄白塔,坐落在甘肃省徽县栗川乡郇庄白塔寺,它是陇南仅存的两处宋代建筑之一。此塔系多层叠涩檐承托平座、斗拱楼阁式砖砌半空心塔。塔基平面八边形,通高30米。砖塔庄重古朴、简约挺拔,建筑风格与陇东华池建于北宋元符二年的砖塔相似。郇庄砖塔对研究宋代佛塔建筑有重要的参考价值。

Huan Zhuang Pagoda, also known as the White Pagoda, located in Huan Zhuang Baita Temple, Li Chuan, Gansu, is one of only two Song dynasty buildings in Longnan. Made of bricks, half-hollowed and 30-meters-high, it is an arched pavilion-style tower with multi-layered canopies, and supported by a fiat foundation which is in the shape of octagon. Solemn, simple and straight, its architectural style is similar to the brick pagoda in Huachi, which was built in the year of 1098. Huan Zhuang Pagoda has important reference value to researches on the Song Dynasty pagodas.
