污泥是污水处理厂污水处理过程中的二次产物。物理法、化学法、物化法和生物法是污水处理常用方法,这些方法都或多或少产生沉淀物、颗粒物和漂浮物等,这些废水处理过程中产生的废物统称为污泥。随着环境保护要求的提高,即使在污水处理率已经比较高的欧、美、日等工业发达国家,污泥产生量的增长趋势也很明显。因此,如何将产量大,成分复杂的污泥,经过科学处理后,使其无害化、资源化,已成为我国乃至全世界环境界广泛关注的课题之一。
