The historical process of Marxism in China can be divided into different periods. All 13 years from the Party＇s 14th Plenary Session of the 13th Central Committee to the Party＇s 16th National Congress can be divided into three periods： DENG Xiaoping＇s South-China Visitation Speech and the Party＇s 14th National Congress, the Party＇s 15th National Congress, and the Party＇s 16th National Congress. Abundant experiences were accumulated at this stage, including grasping national conditions accurately was the core of Marxism in China, prosperity of philosophy and social science was necessary condition of Marxism in China, constructing high-quality theory troop was reliable guarantee of Marxism in China, and creating socialist theory with Chinese Characteristics was the basic purpose of Marxism in China. All the achievements and phaseal experiences obtained in 13 years are of important enlightening significance to understanding the new development of Marxism in China and the new progress of socialist course with Chinese characteristics accurately.
