With the continual improvement and development of the world economic globalization and China market economic system, the market competition is getting more serious day by day and the development strategy requirements of the coal enter- prises are getting higher and higher. The paper had a discussion on the development environment and the industrial structure and an analysis on the internal and external environment of the enterprise, advantage and disadvantage, as well as opportuni- ties and challenges. Based on Shenhua Group as a case, the paper discussed the selection issues of the development strategy.
