摘要
隐喻的认知特点使其具有丰富的语言创新功能,因此在不同领域内隐喻常被用来表达言说者的思想:文学家以其表达自己的人文思想,科学家以其描述他们的研究发现,教师使用隐喻来增强其传授知识的效果,政治家采用隐喻手段来表达其政治观点。通感隐喻可以帮助人们从认知这一视角来正确认识世界。本文以雪莱诗歌为文本,将概念整合理论运用到通感隐喻的分析中,探讨通感隐喻在雪莱诗歌中的表现形式、通感隐喻迁移的总体趋势以及通感隐喻的构建方式。
The cognitive features of metaphors lead to their creative functions of language. Thus metaphors are often used to express speakers' ideas: writers use metaphors to show their humanities; scientists use metaphors to describe their research discoveries; teachers use metaphors to make their teaching more effective and politicians use metaphors to express their political view points. The synaesthetic metaphors, which are a kind of special metaphors, can be employed to help people to know the world and under- stand the world better from the perspective of cognitive linguistics. Conceptual Blending Theory is applied in this research to elu- cidate the forms of synaesthesia, synaesthetic transfer tendency and the construction process in Shelley's poems.
