摘要
国家形象作为一种信息权力,已渗透到政治、经济、文化、社会各领域,塑造国家形象是通过为他国国民留下印象,从而影响国家层面的决策,确定国家利益、行为以及与他国的关系。由于缺乏直接的接触,本土媒体塑造了公众对于他国及世界的印象。驻外记者作为直接报道者,则是东道国国家印象的重要塑造者,应为他国驻外记者构建客观、真实的国家印象提供帮助,以提升东道国国家形象。
National image is treated as an information right. It has permeated all spheres of society such as politics, economy, and culture. The image of a country is established through impressing peoples of other countries, thus exerting an impact on the decision-making, orientation of national interest, and building up mutual relationship among the countries concerned. Normally, people's impression on other countries is shaped by local media due to the lack of frequent direct contact. Foreign correspondents as direct reporters play an important role in shaping host countries' impression. Therefore, in order to promote positive self-image, host countries need to help foreign correspondents to establish an objective and unbiased image of their countries.
