Anthropology and A Collection of Southwest China Studies——Review on Anthropological Fieldwork and Textural Practices in Southwest China: A Collection of Interviews with Overseas and Chinese Scholars Edited by Peng Wenbin

2007年在云南大理召开了"跨越边界与范式"国际学术研讨会,会议上的讨论与发言由彭文斌主编成《人类学的西南田野与文本实践:海内外学者访谈录》,2009年在民族出版社出版。如今回首并评论,就具有历史研究的意义。访谈的重点涉及什么是"西南"、当前研究与既有研究的关系、将来的走向;西南研究中的若干旨趣比如人类学与其他学科比如历史学的关系、本土经验与世界性理论的关系、对流动的探讨等。各家相当自由的拓展各有不同,亦不完全局限于西南:它们体现本书主编情有独钟的对话结构和多元发声观念。

'Crossing Borders and Paradigms',an International Symposium,was held in Dali,Yunnan in 2007. The discussions and presentations in this symposium have been edited by Peng Wenbin and published as Anthropological Fieldwork and Textural Practices in Southwest China: A Collection of Interviews with Overseas and Chinese Scholars by beijing minzu chubanshe (Beijing Publishing House for Nationalities) in 2009. Now,in retrospect a review of this book will have significance for historical studies. The key contents of the interviews include discussions on the definition of 'Southwest ', the relationship between studies of the present and past,as well as future directions. Some topics within Southwest studies, for instance,the relationship of anthropology to other disciplines,such as history,the relationship between local experience and world theory,and an exploration of mobility etc. are examined. The exploration of each scholar is different,and is not completely limited to Southwest China. It reflects the book's editor's special preference to the structure of dialogue and multi-voiced concepts.
