试析蒋梦麟的文化思想

On the Cultural Thoughts of Jiang Mengling

蒋梦麟在中国文化面临西潮汹涌而来并向现代转型的历史时期,提出了自己独具特色的文化思想。他提倡文化的交流与融合,认为中西文化有差别也有相通之处,中国文化思想的具体实践途径是"以儒立身,以道处世,以墨治学,以西办事",在保持本身特点的同时,"亦必将驶进世界未来文化共同的航道而前进"。

Jiang Mengling proposed his unique cultural thoughts at the times when the Chinese culture was struck by surges of western thoughts and faced a turn to modernity. His proposal of the cultural blending of the east and the west held that they shared much in common. The Chinese cultural thoughts were practiced through ＂conduct oneself by Confucianism, do things by Taoism, pursue learning by Mohism, and handle affairs by western thoughts＂. While keeping its own characteristics, the Chinese cultural thought ＂will move forward on the path to the future world culture.＂
