In the practice of compiling and establishing the unban storm intensity formula of Changsha ,with the help of computer , the method that the bivariate interpolation and the least square method was applied to calculate the statistical parameters of Pearson-Ⅲ distributing curves is presented in this paper. By the conclusion of testing and verifying the real unban storm intensity data of 25 years (from 1974 year to 1998 year) in Changsha ,it is proved that this method is successful and suitable and the statistical curves of Pearson-Ⅲ distribution got by using the method in this paper is good identical to the real data of unban storm intensity . The calculating method is simple and the calculating speed is quick in this paper , and the personal objective attitud haven't an effect on the calculating result. 6figs.,1tab.,5refs.
