An Analysis of the Tortuous Development of the Ruling Concept after the 8^(th) National Congress of the CPC

1956年中共八大以后,我国即将开始全面建设社会主义的十年。党的八大全面总结了中共七大以来,特别是中华人民共和国建立以来党的历史经验,制定了新时期党的路线,确定了在新的历史时期,党的主要任务是集中力量大力发展生产力,为新时期社会主义事业的发展和党的建设指明了正确方向。但党的八大的正确路线未能很好地坚持下去,中共执政理念经历了曲折的发展过程。

After the 8^th National Congress of the CPC, China entered a new ten-year phase of socialist con- struction. The 8^th National Congress summed up the historical experience, determined the Party＇s line to promote productive forces and showed directions of socialist construction and Party work. However, the deviation of the line caused ups and downs in the socialist construction and affected the ruling concept of the CPC.
