Cultural Connotations Embodied in Surnames of Ethnic Groups in Qianjiang Toponyms

每个地方均存在一定的人们共同体。这些共同体均由不同的姓氏所构成。这些不同姓氏的人们往往用其姓氏标注地名,从而使特定地域的地名或多或少地体现出一定的族群姓氏文化意蕴。借助对黔江地名的深入考察,以期探讨黔江地名中所存留的姓氏文化。

Everywhere there lives certain community consisting of groups with different surnames. People of those different surnames always name their places with their own surnames, thus making toponyms of certain area, to an extent, bearers of cultural connotations of some ethnic groups. This paper, through a thorough investigation of toponyms in Qianjiang, aims to explore the surnominal culture embodied in those toponyms.
