Existing copyright laws provide very weak protection to the copyright of those news works. The copyright status of news works needs to be promoted, which, of course, requires a legal basis from a phil- osophical level. Property theory occupies an important place in the philosophy of copyright. In China＇ s copyright protection, the newspaper copyright is the most representative. A clear recognition of the proper- ty attribute of the country＇s news works plays a key role in enhancing the legal status of the newspaper copyright and have a the oretical guidance in the fight development of the country＇ s news industry.
