Effect of the communication between dentist and dental technician on denture fabrication success

目的探讨义齿修复中的医技交流对义齿成功率的影响。方法在南京、上海、广东3家义齿加工厂随机抽取6606份义齿加工单,根据加工单信息完整程度分为Ⅰ、Ⅱ、Ⅲ、Ⅳ4类,分别计算返工率,分析信息完整程度与返工率的关系。结果Ⅰ类加工单返工率为5%,Ⅱ类为8%,Ⅲ类为6%,Ⅳ类为15%,各组之间有统计学差异。加工类型中烤瓷冠桥返工率为7%,铸造冠桥为7%,嵌体桩核2%,铸造支架为5%,全口义齿为4%,隐形义齿为4%,其他类型义齿为5%,各组之间没有统计学差异。结论义齿加工单信息完整性对返工率有影响,信息越不完备返工率越高。修复体类型对返工率没有影响。

Objective To investigate the effect of the communication between dentist and dental technician on dentures fabrication. Methods A total of 6606 denture fabrication forms selected randomly from a dental laboratory in Nanjing,Shanghai and Guangdong were divided into four types I, II, III, and IV, according to the integrity of fabrication information and the reworking rate was calculated. Results The reworking rate of each type was 5% in 1,8% in II,6% in III and 15% in IV,which was significantly different among all groups. The reworking rate of each kind of dental prostheses was 7% in PFM,7% in casting alloy crown,2% in post-core crown,J% in metal frame,4% in complete denture,4% in concealed denture and 5% in the others ,which was not significantly different among all groups. Conclusion The integrity of the fabrication forms information is related to reworking rate. The type of dental prostheses does not influence reworking rate.
