The ratio of sectional deformation of flexible pipeline is one important criteria need to be controlled in case of failure. Some defects of sectional deformationof pipelines are discussed, such as the decrease of flow ability, increased strain, and joint leakage. The process of sectional deformation of flexible pipeline is analyzed; controlling criteria of deflection ratio from a few countries are compared and analyzed.
