摘要 Since joining the WTO, China's achievement in vital economic indicators such as GDP growth, foreign trade and foreign exchange reserves has been very strong. Its influence on the global economy is growing accordingly but it remains unclear how China, the biggest emerging power, can be integrated into current global economic governance system. This has become a critical issue facing the international community today. China needs to actively participate in global economic governance to help realize its 'Chinese Dream' and transform itself from a big country into a big power. At present, Groups of developing countries are playing increasing important role in global economic governance. As China has now become a member of such groups like G20 and "BRICS", it should make good use of its new identity to explore new markets and promote more Sino-European and South-South cooperation, so as to gradually reduce its current over-dependence on the U.S.A.
