Geological characteristics of the Derni pyrite type Cu-Co-depcsit in Qinghai Province are described. Alter a comparison with Cu-Ni sulphice depcsits related to basie ultrabasic rocks. It is believed that the deposit described in this paper has no genetic connection with ultrabasic rocks. It is a hydrothermal deposit associated with biotite granite of the Indo Chinese and Yanshanian epoch.
