《野兽逻辑》是山田咏美创作的一部颇具后现代主义特色的作品。小说以栖息在女主人公茉莉血液中"动物"的视觉,讲述了人类文明面临的各种社会问题。作者在创作中运用戏仿、多元化、平行结构等后现代叙事方式,对男人、女人、白人、黑人等多种文化符号进行反思和重构,充分表达了作者对族裔关系、同性恋、艾滋病、犯罪等社会问题的关注。

Beast＇s Logic is a literary work by Yamada Emi with some postmodernism features. It reveals a lot about contemporary social problems from the angle of the ＇beast＇ living in the blood of the protagonist, Jasmin. Emi reflected on and reconstructed cultural symbo!s such as man and woman, whites and blacks, by employing narrative methods such as parody, pluralism and parallel structures in her novel. Represented in the novel are sueh social issues as ethnic problems, homosexuality, AIDS and crime.
