审视美国霸权:乐观派学者的辩护与忠告

U.S. Hegemony in Perspective:the Defense of the Optimistic Scholars and Their Recommendations

从2008年次贷危机开始,作为唯一超级大国的美国至今未能恢复稳定增长,这也导致了"美国霸权衰落论"的又一波狂潮。针对衰落论者的悲观看法,一些乐观的西方学者纷纷撰文为美国霸权辩护,他们从不同的角度论证了美国仍然具有的优势,同时也道出了其忧虑之处和美国的应对之策。概言之,这些学者虽然承认美国实力有所衰落,但他们坚持认为美国霸权是稳固的、可修复的。据此可以判断,美国霸权的未来是模糊的,应当慎言美国衰落。

Since the U.S. subprime mortgage crisis began in 2008, the United States, the sole superpower, has failed to restore stable growth so far, which led to the emergence of ＂the decline of U. S. hegemony＂ once again. Contrary to the pessimistic view of some scholars, the optimistic scholars have written papers to defense the U. S. hegemony. They demonstrated that the United States still has the advantage, and they also shared their concerns and recommendations. Although the optimistic scholars admit that U. S. power suffers decline to some degree,yet the U.S. hegemony is stable and recoverable. It is our judgment that the future of U. S. hegemony is uncertain, and therefore, we should remain cautious about our judgment on America＇s decline.
