Due to its special geo-strategic conditions, Kyrgyzstan has become a focal link in the game between Russia and the United States. Ever since its independence, Kyrgyzstan has maintained a foreign policy featuring balance and utilitarianism, and adopted the ＂check and balance＂ policy in dealing with the competition between Russia and America, so as to maximize its own national interests.
