摘要
马濠运河是元朝时开凿未果、后于明朝开通的我国第一条人工海水运河,是胶莱运河的重要组成部分,它的开通在历史上起到了重要的海运枢纽作用。从自身和外部两大部分来探讨马濠运河的废弃原因,自身原因是马濠运河的水源不足、河道浅涩、泥沙淤积等;外部原因又分为胶莱运河的废弃、倭寇侵扰、政府对内对外战事的频繁及政府资金短缺等。另外,对马濠运河重新开通的可行性也进行了探讨。
Mahao Canal, unsuccessfully dug in Yuan Dynasty, was dug again and opened in Ming Dynasty. As Chings first artificial canal, it is a significant part of Jiaolai Canal, and its opening has played an important role in the history of shipping hub. This essay discusses Mahao Canal's abando- ning from internal and external reasons. Internal reasons include water shortage, shallow riverway, silt sediment and so on. External reasons include Jiaolai Canal's abandoning, aggressions of Japanese pirates, continuous war and fund shortage. Meanwhile, this essay also studies the feasibility of reope- ning of Mahao Canal.
