Slide Model and singular axis model, together with their application in the Kangshan gold mining district are expounded in tais paper. It is considered that thc NE and NNE striking ore-hosting faults in an oblique symmetry arc formed by local stress fields which induced by the regional strain fields. The principal strain orientation and rate of the regional three dimensional strain field are also calculated.
