There are many situations of polysemy in Chinese, which make language expression colorful and better adapt to communication needs. Extend of word meaning is the basic reason of polysemy, and the extended meaning of a word is derived from its original meaning in its development. This paper introduces the relationship between the original meaning and extended meaning.
