Kellogg Brown&Root(简称KBR)公司是全球主要的合成氨工艺技术提供商,围绕蒸汽转化、氨合成氮肥生产关键工艺过程,研发并在全球布局了大量专利,其基本专利的数量达到了50余件。其中,部分专利保护已经失效。KBR公司在我国共申请天然气制氮肥技术中国专利16件,针对KRES技术,KBR公司形成了较为全面的专利池保护,而氨合成塔则无有效专利。借鉴KBR公司专利保护工作,国内企业应当做好对外合作、主导研发前的专利分析工作,着手构建企业的知识产权保护体系,按照现代企业的要求,加强知识产权工作,以支持企业的发展。

Kellogg Brown &Root(abbreviated as KBR) is a major synthetic ammonia process technology provider in the world.The company has acquired a large amount of patents distributed worldwide concerning the key process technologies for steam conversion and ammonia synthesis nitrogen fertilizer production with its basic patents numbering to more than 150.Of those,some become invalid for their protection.KBR Company has applied for the Chinese patents in 16 cases involving the technology to use natural gas for production of nitrogen fertilizer.KBR Company has formed relatively comprehensive patent pool in protection of KRES technology,but ammonia synthesis tower has no effective patent.Drawing on the experiences of KBR Company in patent protection,the domestic enterprises should cooperate with their foreign counterparts,dominate analysis of patent prior to the research work and establish the corporate intellectual property right protection system.They should follow modern corporate requirements and step up the intellectual property right work to support their business development.
