摘要
外语教学的最终目的是让学生拥有成功的跨文化交际能力,其中语法能力和语用能力是交际能力的有机组成部分。语法是用来指导学生如何进行语言建构,而语用学是用来解释建构后的语言使用上的意义。从语用学视角出发,分别从时和体、句型、情态动词和副词的使用这4个语法范畴来探讨语法规则的语用功能,提出在大学英语语法教学中要加强教师和学习者对语法中语用功能的敏感度,从而逐步提高学习者的英语语言水平和语用能力。
The ultimate objective of foreign language teaching is to engage learners m succe^- fully competent cross-cultural communication. Grammatical and pragmatic competences are es- sential components in communicative competence. Grammar aims to guide learners to make correct language construction, while pragmatics is to explain the information conveyed in the constructed language. From the perspective of pragmatics, this paper deals with the pragmatic function embedded in grammatical rules in terms of tense and aspect, clause types, modal verbs and adverbs. It points out that both teachers and learners should be sensitive to the pragmatic function in grammar during college English grammar teaching, thus improving learners; English level and pragmatic competence.
