Research of Performance Comparison for IEEE 802.11 Protocols

摘要 无线网络已经成为接入网的主要方式之一,而不同的协议标准在不同的网络环境中的性能有着不同的表现.在基于AODV路由协议的Ad hoc网络中,本文利用Network Simulator 2仿真软件对目前的主流协议802.11、802.11b、802.11g进行了性能比较分析,端到端时延、丢包率、吞吐量、实际吞吐量等参数显示,802.11g有着明显的优势,但实际实验中的优势没有理论值的大. Wireless network is one main os the method for accessing the INTERNET. However, different protocols show different performance in different network. Now, 802.11,802.11b,802.11 g are main protocols. In this paper, for one Ad hoe network based on AODV, their end to end delay, packet drop fraction, throughput and goodput are compared. The results show that 80211g is the best one, but its advantage is not as big as the theory analyzing
