Analysis on Negative Cultural Transfer of Spatial Perception in the Cross-cultural Communication

不同文化背景的人们具有不同的空间观念,这往往会产生文化负迁移,继而造成误解或交际失败。文章从空间距离、领地观念、空间安排等几方面阐述了跨文化空间观差异及在交际中出现的文化负迁移现象,并探析了引起文化负迁移现象的深层原因。以期帮助人们减少空间观方面的文化负迁移,从而促进跨文化交际的顺利进行。

Different cultures shape the different spatial perceptions, hence people＇s different views of space have naturally turned out to be one of essential causes of negative cultural transfer, and even cause mis- understandings or communication breakdown. The thesis discusses the spatial differences and negative cultural transfer of cress-cultural communication from spatial distances, spatial arrangements and territoriality. The deep reasons of negative cultural transfer are also explored. In the hope of helping people reduce negative cultural transfer on spatial differences, and further improve the effectiveness of cross-cultural communication.
