微信收费之争:观点与问题分析

以运营商高层为首,要求微信收费,掀起了一场全国性争论。微信收费的理由是牵强的,也是有害的。面对技术的飞速发展与市场需求的快速变化,运营商不是把精力与资源投入到技术创新与业务开拓上,而是试图利用垄断地位与行政力量,压制网络企业的创新。这不但对自身无益,也将阻碍我国移动网络的创新与发展。

WeChat, which is also known as Wei Xin, has developed rapidly since its launching on January 21st, 2011. Its users have reached 300 million up to January 23rd, 2013 and the number is still accelerating. In contrast, the domestic three major telegram operators fail to improve their own traditional SMS and voice services, facing the pain of business transformation. The operators thus press the adjustment of free strategy which WeChat has adopted. After a comprehensive analysis of the views of operators, this paper concludes that it is improper and harmful for operators to do so. Facing the rapid development of technology and the changing demands of the market, the operators should put their energy and resources into technological innovation and business development, instead of suppressing the network enterprises by its monopoly and some executive power. Otherwise, they will suffer from their behaviors in the end and also hinder the innovation and development of China＇ s technology and economy.
