作者用调试程序debug.com与IBM-PC工具程序ptools.exe结合,恢复了数据结构信息被破坏、部分数据丢失、且数据容量超出PC内存的dBaseⅢ巨型数据库,其方法是将巨型库的结构信息和部分数据,分块分批地调入内存处理,这种思路和方法也可用于文件长度超出计算机内存空间容量的其他巨型文件处理中。

The author recovered the damaged huge data bases of dBase Ⅲ, those data structure informations were damaged , some of the data lost and data contents were larger than the standard capacity of personal computer , by the combination of the programs of debug. com and pctools . exe . The method is loading and processing the data structure informations and the lost data of the huge data bases part by part . This kind of thought and way may be applied in the processing of any other huge files those file lengths exceed the memory capacity of computer.
