殖民地报业在美国“公民社会”形成中的作用

The Role of the Colonial Press in the Civil Society Construction in U.S.A

美国殖民地报业兴起的过程也是美国"公民社会"形成的过程。报业是形成一个公共领域的纽带,属于"公民社会"的范畴,推动了"公民社会"团体的成长。同时,报业的发展孕育了美国"公民社会"思想,形成了北美大陆想象的"公民共同体",并在实践中推动这种"想象的共同体"向现实的"公民社会"过渡,并最终形成了美国"国家——公民社会"的社会结构。本文从殖民地报业的视角,用"公民社会"理论的两分法来分析美国"公民社会"兴起的历史因素。

With the rise of the colonial press, the civil society in the United States was growing up. As a part of the colonial civil society, the press made a public sphere and urged other civil societies＇ developing. The civil society idea was born during the time when the journalism was on the upgrade and an ＂imaging civic community＂ was shaped from the press one by one among the people in North American continent, and the press promoted this ＂community＂ to ＂civil society ＂ in practice and eventually a social structure ＂ STATE -CIVIL SOCIETY ＂was formed in the United States. In this paper, based on the angle of the colonial press, a dichotomy study of the ＂state＂ and ＂civil society＂ is used to explore reasons of the rise of the civil society in the U.S.A.
