泥筩浅议

A Discussion on Nitong-s

泥筩是一种青铜筒形物,现今考古出土的数量不多。其体型很小,某些泥筩内尚存放有少量封泥。从泥筩的器型大小和结构来看,其本身无法存放太多的封泥,因此泥筩并非一种实用型的储藏封泥的工具。但泥筩是青铜制作,说明其具有一定的特殊意义,推测其应为当时少数有收藏封泥嗜好的人制作的收藏工具。

The nitong （literally： a tube for storing clay） is a tube-shaped small ware made from bronze. Few have unearthed from archaeological excavations. Some unearthed nitong-s had small amount of sealing clay in. The shape and small size suggest that the nitong was not a type of container used to store sealing clay. Given it was made from bronze, it is likely to be specially made by collectors for storing precious seal- ing clay collection.
