Figures always challenge interpreters.Fast and accurate interpreting of figures is an essential skill for interpreters.Currently different methods of interpreting figures between English and Chinese have been proposed by researchers at home and abroad,and different note--taking methods of figures have been put forward.After careful analysis of major methods of figure interpreting and note--taking,methods suited to different types of interpreters and situations can be found out.Appropriate interpreting and note-- taking methods and sufficient training in figure interpreting will enable interpreters to accomplish their tasks successfully.
