Forming a balancing pattern and then an efficient and effective counter-balancing mechanism is the precondition and guarantee of the existence and development of Chinese literature. After the Cultural Revolution, he plays a leading role in the balancing pattern of Chinese literary circles. Between the literary concept and literary ecological conception of ordinary people and elite, between keeping a low file and a high profile, between common sense and elite sense of scholars, he chooses the former and used it to balance the latter. In the method of thought he prefers empiricism relativism and eclecticism which can balance effectively radicalism absolutism and extremism of literature. So his life path is formed by all these many factors and comes to a converged result of them. So far Wang Meng has made a significant contribution in building literary balance pattern and establishing an effective system in the balancing pattern of Chinese literary circles.
