摘要
英译旅游资料是为了通俗易懂地让目的读者了解旅游目的地的信息,但是由于中西文化差异,有可能导致旅游信息的表达失误。以广西著名景点为例,以功能对等理论为指导,分析中西文化差异的具体表现,提出在翻译过程中应用增添信息、文化借用、改写信息等策略做好广西著名景点的旅游资料英译。
Chinese-English translation of tourism materials aims at acquainting the target readers with the tourism destinations. The cultural differences between China and the western countries may give birth to errors in expressions. With the noted scenic spots of Guangxi as a case study, and the theory of functional equivalence as the guidance, the article analyzes the concrete representation of the cultural differences between China and the western countries and comes up with effective strategies. The accurate publicity of Guangxi will contribute to the sound tourism development.
