英汉动物词汇文化内涵的比较研究

Comparative analysis of cultural connotations about English-Chinese animal lexicon

人类语言中拥有大量的动物词汇,英汉文化的相通性和英汉民族思维方式的相似性,对同一种动物可能产生相同或相似的喻义;英汉民族不同的文化背景和不同的民族文化个性,对同一种动物会产生不一样的联想,使同一种动物具有不同的内涵意义;英汉语言也会用不同的动物词语表达相同的意义。分析掌握英汉动物词汇的文化内涵,对于顺利地进行跨文化交际很有必要。

There appear many animal words in the human being＇s languages. Because of the interlinking of Chinese and English culture and the similarity of human thinking, the same animal words may have the same or similar meanings in both languages; because of different cultural background and national cultural personality of Chinese and British nationalities, the same animal words may have different associations and connotations; and sometimes people in the two cultures use different animal words to express the same meanings. The comparative analysis of the connotations of animal words in both languages is necessary for inter-cultural communications.
