“Qing” and its partner words of semantic rhetoricization

文章追溯"青"的本义,分析"青"的语义变化发展过程和方式,考察"青"参构词语的语义演变及生成途径,由此得出:"青"及其参构词语的语义生成与修辞关系密切,比喻、借代等修辞手段是其语义演变发展的主要途径,语义修辞化对词义演变产生了重要的影响。

This paper traced back the original meaning of Chinese character ＂Qing＂ and analyzed the development of its mean- ing as well as the developing process of those words that contain ＇ qing＇, we may conclude that ＇ qing＇ as well as its partner words has quite close relationship with its rhetoric. Allegory and metonymy are the main channels through which the meaning of ＇qing＇ changes and develops. In this way, we may say rhetoric has great influence on the transformation of the meaning ofwords.
