数字测高仪256的观测表明,E_s层很不稳定,其强度和出现都频繁地变化。f_0E_s的反射系数多数情况都小于0.1,f_bE_s的反射系数为0.4。

Observations of DIGISONDE 256 show that the sporadic—E is instability,and the intensity and the occurence are frequently changing. The reflection coefficients of the f_0E_s are generally smaller than 0.1 and that of f_0E_s are about 0.4.
