清末留日师范速成教育补议

A Study of the Crash Normal education for Students going to Japan in the Late Qing Dynasty

在20世纪初的中国曾掀起了一场赴日学习速成教育的高潮,而留日师范速成教育则是清末留学教育链条中的重要一环。学界对其虽有一定研究,但尚待深化。清末留日师范速成教育兴起的主要原因有二:一是国内学堂师资的匮乏,二是地方督抚的推动。此外,不菲的游学费用及其自身的诸多弊端制约着留日师范速成教育的进一步开展,并成为其最终被废止的重要原因。

In the early period of 21st century, there appeared a peak of crash education for students going to Japan, which was an important link of the whole go-abroad education in the late Qing Dynasty. Though some scholars make certain studies on it, it needs further investigation. The main reasons of this kind of education are as follows： the insuf- ficient teachers in schools and the support of local government. However, the high expenditures on going abroad and some other shortcomings became the obstacles to its further development, which became the major reason of ending the education of such kind at last.
