《长生殿》与《桃花扇》作为清初拱映历史剧坛的"双子星座",他们在选取史料进行艺术创作时所进行的历史观照是不同的。前者借史写情,后者借情写史,把对历史的观照放在服从主题和结构的需要上,努力达到艺术真实与历史真实的和谐统一,虽各具特色,但都产生了震撼人心的艺术力量,成为历史剧创作的典范。

As the ＂Twin Star＂ in the field of historical plan of Qing Dynasty, Palace of Eternal Youth and Peach Blossom Fan are different on the historical concern which is used for the artistic creation when the author chose the historical materials. The key for the former is to write love story based on the history and the latter is to write the history based on the love story. The authors of the two historical plans deal with the historical concern on the basis of the need of theme and structure in order to reach the harmonious integration between artistic reality and historical reality. Although they are characteristic, they have produced the overpowering artistic effect and become the model of the creation of historical plans.
