Many people are calling 2012 'The Year of Fresh Food E-commerce',as last year fresh fruit,vegetables,seafood and all types of packaged dry foods have become the fourth most popular type of product bought online,right behind cosmetics,electronics and clothing.The agricultural e-commerce industry is expected to reach 100 billion yuan in size.JD Online,COFCO's Womai.com,Amazon China,Yihaodian. com and other online shopping platforms are all testing the fresh food waters.Sales volume is still rather small,as is the amount of products available.As such,in the short term,earnings will still be an issue.
