On the Application of Naturalized Strategies in English Versions of Jin Yong's Kung Fu Novels——Taking the English Version of "The Book and The Sword" of Earnshaw for Example

金庸的武侠小说英译是近年来许多译者意欲尝试的新领域。本文主要讨论了英译武侠小说时译者翻译策略的选择和选择意图。笔者通过研究发现,译者多数时候选择使用归化的翻译策略。本文希望找出目前影响英译武侠作品的原则和因素,以期能更好地帮助英译武侠作品的传播。

The English versions of Kung fu novels ofJin Yong are a new field that many translators intend to attempt in re- cent years. The paper mainly discusses the selection and selecting intentions of translation strategies in translating the Kung fu novels. Through the research, the author found that translators often choose the naturalized translation strategies. The paper aims at finding the principles and factors of influencing the current English versions of Kung fu works so as to better help the spread of these works.
