A New Research on the Plight of William Wordsworth's Poetry in China

威廉·华兹华斯是英国19世纪浪漫主义文学的伟大先驱,他为推动英国浪漫主义诗歌发展奠定了基础,在英国乃至整个西方文坛享有崇高声望。但其诗作却未受到中国读者广泛推崇与熟知,究其原因,众说纷纭。本文试图从新的视角——运用目前盛行于欧美的接受美学理论,以读者在文学接受过程中的作用为基点,对华氏诗作在中国的命运进行系统的分析与研究。

William Wordsworth is a great British pioneer of romantic literature in the 19th century. He has laid a solid foundation for promoting the development of English romantic poetry and enjoyed a high reputation in Britain and even the entire westem literary circles. But, for some reasons, his importance in literary history has not been fully realized by Chinese readers. The article attempts to apply Reception Aesthetics Theory, prevailed in Europe and America, from a new perspective, to systematically analyze and research his poetry＇ fate in China, based on readers＇ roles during the process of literary reception.
